Why limit yourself to one area of offer when you can inspire your guests with many different worlds of experience? Since our opening in 1992, we have continuously expanded our hotel: away from a pure conference address and towards a unique new work, active and wellness retreat. Always with the goal to maintain the familiar feel-good idyll and to combine it with new highlights.
Our latest innovations include 31 additional rooms with nature-oriented amenities, eight inspiring event and meeting rooms, a comprehensive range of activities including an outdoor climbing wall, two first-class restaurants, a cooking school and a fantastic bar. And, of course, there are plans for the future. After all, we want to offer our guests only the best … and we have to say that we are getting a little nervous if we don’t use the concrete mixer every four years.

Nativeness repesents the interaction with contrasts, like rest and performing, or excitement and relaxation as the basis for a balanced lifestyle. For the individual rhythm of life of each person, we offer tailor-made services in all areas. Because the guest only feels comfortable when they can show themselves as they are. For us, authenticity means doing and consuming what feels right and does you good – from using regional food from local small farmers to relaxation within the nature and inhaling fresh air. These four principles lead to our vision of a NEW LIFE, which is resembled in all products and services.

Purchase of the plot of land
at the marvellous Tollensesee.
1991

Start of the construction
with 42 guest rooms.
1992

Opening
as the 1st business hotel of the new states in Eastern Germany.
1996

Expansion by 24 hotel rooms and indoor pool.
Vacationers as an additional clientele. Certification as an upscale hotel by Dehoga (german hotel and restaurant association)
2000

Award for the employer of the year
in Mecklenburg West-Pomerania due to a new marketing concept focusing on experiences, e.g. golf, biking (Tour de Mueritz), cooking lessons or gourmet menues.
2002

Launch of wellness offers
with a continuous increase in offers.
2007

Construction of the spa area,
gym for altitude training and winter garden to expand the restaurant. Regular certifications as a wellness hotel by TÜV Rheinland.
2008

Marketing start for the wellness clientele.
Nomination for the German tourism award due to the exclusive altitude training.
2009

Awarded with the European "Wellness Aphrodite"
due to the innovative altitude concept.
2012

Redesign of lobby and hotel rooms
plus the imlementation of the SAMINA Power Sleeping concept. The concept characterizes holism and orientates at four prinzciples: Movement - Relaxation - Diet - Sleep.
2018

Bornmuehle 2.0
Development of the concept for Bornmuehle 2.0. Start of the construction.
2020

Completion of the construction work
